How to switch OnlyFans agencies without losing your account
If you opened your OnlyFans account with your own ID, it’s yours even if an agency runs it: OnlyFans deals with the verified account holder, not with whoever helps her. To keep your access when you leave, the order matters: check what you control, read the exit clause, give notice in writing and keep the chat from going quiet.

Can you leave your OnlyFans agency whenever you want?
Yes, as long as you stick to what you signed: your contract sets out how you leave.
In Spain, the Civil Code (Código Civil) says that obligations arising from contracts have the force of law between the contracting parties (Article 1091): what was agreed is binding, on you just as much as on the agency. If one side doesn’t hold up its end, the other can demand that it does or ask for the contract to be terminated (Article 1124). Depending on the type of contract, the law may give you more or less room to end it: a lawyer can confirm that for you.
In Latin America, the US, the UK or Canada, a different law may apply: check what your contract says.
Is your OnlyFans account still yours when you leave the agency?
If you opened it yourself, with your own ID, yes. To open a creator account, OnlyFans asks for a valid ID plus two photos of you: the account is tied to the verified person.
Its Terms of Service, updated in August 2024, say that if someone helps you run your account, your legal responsibility doesn’t change: OnlyFans’ relationship is with you, not with third parties. You also can’t transfer your agreement with OnlyFans to anyone else, so the account doesn’t become the agency’s.
The same goes for your subscribers: the OnlyFans terms talk about subscriptions to the creator’s profile. If your account stays open and you keep your access, your community stays with it when you switch agencies.
Step 1. Before you give notice, check what you control
Write down what you control and what the agency controls (what access an agency should have). OnlyFans contacts you through messages in your account, by email or on the phone number you gave it: if that email or that phone isn’t yours, its notices go to someone else.
| What to check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| The email on your OnlyFans account | That’s where OnlyFans notices arrive. It has to be in your name, with a recovery method you control. |
| Your OnlyFans password | Note whether the agency knows it. Don’t change it yet: check your contract first. |
| Two-step verification | If it’s on, note which phone or app gets the code: from your exit date on, only you should get it. |
| Active sessions on your email and personal social media | Google lets you check which devices are using your account; Instagram shows your recent login activity. |
| Your Telegram channel | Who the owner is: only the owner can transfer the channel. |
| A copy of your original content | Saved somewhere only you can access. |
Step 2. Read the exit clause in your contract
Look for the part about how long the agreement lasts or how it ends; if you don’t understand it, ask in writing for an explanation. These clauses decide how you leave:
| Clause | What to look at | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Notice period | How far in advance you give notice, and how. | What day does the notice period start? |
| Minimum term | Whether there’s a minimum commitment. | What happens if I leave early? |
| Exclusivity | Whether you can sign with another agency before you leave. | Until what date can’t I work with another agency? |
| Content | What happens to everything created, edited or scheduled. | What do I get back? What can you keep using? |
| Promo accounts | Who owns the accounts that post your content. | What happens to my content already posted there? |
| Telegram channel | Who the owner is. | Will you transfer it to me? |
Step 3. Give notice in writing and keep a copy
Give notice by email, even if you talk it over on a call later: that way the date is in writing, and it’s the date your notice period counts from. Ask them to confirm they’ve received it; keep the email, their reply and your screenshots.
If they suggest a call to talk you out of it, listen without committing to anything; afterwards, ask for a written summary.
If you never signed anything, still give notice in writing with an exit date, keep screenshots of what you agreed and change your passwords that day.
Step 4. A seamless handover: keep your subscribers from noticing the change
Your community doesn’t need to know you’re switching agencies. What they do notice is a silent chat or a custom request that never arrives. Here’s what to take care of:
- The chat: covered by your current agency until its last day and by the new one from day one. If there’s a gap, you cover it: why the chat matters so much.
- Custom requests that have already been paid for. Under the OnlyFans terms, once a custom request is confirmed, the creator has to hold up her end: ask for a list of the ones still pending.
- Scheduled messages: make sure nothing goes out that you no longer want to send.
- Your subscription price. Don’t raise it in the middle of the switch: according to OnlyFans, if the price goes up, subscriptions stop renewing automatically.
- Your account: keep it open. Don’t delete it to “start over”: deleting it ends your subscriptions, which can no longer be renewed, and you lose access to its content.
- No announcements, no drama: your audience doesn’t need to know what happened with the agency.
Step 5. Your content, your Telegram channel, your social media: what to ask for before you leave
Your content: what’s on your account stays there, and OnlyFans says it doesn’t own what you upload. What the agency can keep using, or has to hand over to you, is up to your contract.
Your Telegram channel: only the owner account can transfer it, and Telegram requires that account to have two-step verification turned on. If it’s in the agency’s name, it depends on the contract.
The promo accounts the agency opened: your contract says who owns them. If they’re the agency’s, plan on rebuilding your promotion. Your personal profile is yours; if the agency ran it, change your password on your exit date.
Leaked content: OnlyFans isn’t required to go after it, so someone has to keep searching for it (how to get it taken down).
Before your exit date, ask in writing for:
- A final report: what was posted, where, which conversations are still open.
- Your original content, plus the edited content you’re entitled to under the contract.
- Confirmation that they’ll remove their access on your exit date.
- The transfer of your Telegram channel, if the contract provides for it.
Step 6. What to do if the agency won’t give your access back
If the agency doesn’t remove its access, or someone changed your password or your email without permission, don’t react in the heat of the moment.
Ask in writing, with a deadline
What access you’re asking for, from what date, what your contract says. No threats, just facts.
Gather evidence
Your ID, the OnlyFans verification emails, the contract, screenshots, a timeline with dates.
Recover your email if they changed it
If it’s a Google account, Google’s official help says to use its account recovery page and review the connected devices.
Contact OnlyFans support
At [email protected] or through its contact form. Explain that you’re the verified account holder; have your evidence ready.
Don’t pay to “release” your account
If a payment isn’t in your contract, talk to a lawyer first.

FAQ
Short answers to the most common questions on this topic.
Apply and tell us: a person from our team replies in under 24 hours.
ApplyWill I lose my subscribers if I switch agencies?
No, as long as your account stays open and you keep your access: the OnlyFans terms talk about subscriptions to the creator’s profile, and switching agencies doesn’t touch them. What can make people leave is a chat with no replies, a custom request that never arrives or a price increase in the middle of the switch.
What do I do if the agency won’t give me back access to my account?
Ask in writing with a deadline, gather evidence (your ID, the verification emails, the contract, screenshots) and write to OnlyFans support at [email protected]. Don’t pay anything that isn’t in the contract without talking to a lawyer first. In Spain, 017, the helpline of the national cybersecurity institute (INCIBE), can guide you for free.
What happens to my content, my Telegram channel and my social media when I leave?
It depends on your contract. What’s on your OnlyFans stays on your account: OnlyFans doesn’t own your content. Only its owner can transfer the Telegram channel. Your contract says who owns the promo accounts the agency opened; your personal profile is yours.
How do I tell my agency I’m leaving?
By email, with the exit date your contract sets. Ask them to remove their access that day, hand over what you agreed on and send you a final report. Ask them to confirm they’ve received it and keep a copy. If they call to pressure you, ask for a written summary afterwards.
When can I start with the new agency?
When your previous contract allows it: check the notice period and whether you have an exclusivity clause. In the meantime, unless your contract says otherwise, you can look around and ask for a profile review. A serious agency won’t ask you for passwords or money before you sign.
